In CLANED® boards are subdivided into “modules”. These are a way to organize your learning content into thematic, time-based or other sensible structures. You should think about modules as a table of contents. Modules provide an overview of what is to come and are therefore important element that supports the learning process.
1. All boards in CLANED® get created with a default single module, titled “Module Title”.
Locate and click the 3 dots next to the title “module” and select “edit” from the menu.
2. Once you select edit a pop-up window will open allowing you to change the modules name and give it a description.
- Give a descriptive name
- Add a description about the module. You can add learning goals, write an overview of the module, and give instructions.
3. Editing module visibility
Under “Module visibility” there are 3 options:
- Published – Content visible and accessible to learners.
- Hidden - Content hidden and inaccessible to learners.
- Scheduled – Module will be hidden until a specified time & date
4. Editing module sharing under permissions
- Allow users yo add content to this module - let’s you make some modules collaborative – meaning learners can add content to them such as assignments for peer- review.
5. Click on save to finalize your module

6. To add modules to a board, simply click the ”ADD MODULE” button.
- Give the module a name, description and edit its details like explained earlier and click “SAVE”.
- Modules get added in sequential order – meaning the last one you add will be the first to appear on the page.
7. To change the order, click the “Rearrange modules”
- To move them around simply click on the title of module you want to move and drag and drop to the desired location.
- Click on the rearrange modules again to hide the modules.
