Controlling your settings is usually one of the first things you should do when registering to any platform. In this guide, we will show you where to access your settings and what different settings you can manage: Public profile, Preferences, and account settings.
1. Public Profile
Profiles are commonplace these days and many of us maintain several of them. If you use any social media, CLANED® user profiles will be familiar.
We really encourage you to take a few minutes and fill out some of the basic information of your profile. Include a picture, share some of you professional and personal interests. By showing yourself and providing some background info you make things like asking peers for assistance or providing honest feedback easier.
A profile is especially important in the case of expert/teacher to learner relations as it helps to establish a sense of trust and acquaintance with those who are responsible for guiding the learning process.
Click on "Edit you public profile" and start filling it in!
2. Additional information
When clicking "Edit you public profile" in Public profile, or by clicking "Additional information" you will be taken to a page where you can add your profile information. Remember to save!
3. Certificates
Here you will find all the certificates that have been approved by the teacher.
4. Preferences
How often do you need to be notified about activities in CLANED®? The “Preferences” tab in your settings is where you can adjust what you get informed about and how often.
Notifications about board and organization activity can be set to “always” for real-time updates, daily, weekly, monthly or never.
Another key feature is the ability to change the interface language. Currently CLANED® supports 14 different languages from around the world. Note that changing the language of the interface doesn't change the language of the learning content.
5. Account
Names, passwords and email address can be updated and changed in the account section.
Next to some of your personal information you can see a little lock icon, by clicking this you can change how visible your information is to other learners.
Additionally if you would like to delete you account or get a copy of your data in compliance with GDPR regulations you may do so here.
6. Contact Support
This will take you to Zendesk where you can submit a ticket.
