With Claned you can create assessments for different purposes. This quick guide will cover the basics of assessment creation.

1. Click on ADD CONTENT
2. Choose this option
3. Click on MAKE AN ASSESSMENT
4. Type a descriptive name for your assessment.
You can include for example type of test or topic to the name. The name is a mandatory field.
5. You can also give a description to your content.
Here you should add information to the learner about the assessment. This is optional, but highly recommended. See an example below.
You can also set availability information here. Available from will set a specific date and time when the content becomes visible for learners and they access it. To will define the time, when assessment will be closed.
NOTE: this means, that if "To" is set to 14:00, learner opens up assessment at 13:59, they will be timed out exactly at 14 and unable finish their assessment. All answers so far will be saved and can be manually graded.
Deadline will allow to access assessment and post an answer, but will mark it as late submission.
6. Click on Questions to add questions to your assessment.
7. Click on ADD NEW QUESTION
From this menu, you can create questions. For each question, you need to always add a new question. You can have any amount of questions for one assessment.
8. Type your question.
Below, you can add annotation for your question. This can include a larger chunk of text like a set of instructions. This is also visible to learners in addition to the question.
9. You can choose answer type from the drop down menu
We currently support 5 different question types.
Text answer is for longer text answers like essays or open ended questions. You need to manually grade this type of assessments. The answer length is not limited and will be saved as you type in, but it's of course good to recommend writing very long answers and assignments directly to document and upload it.
Multiple Choice - One Selection is to provide set of answer and mark one as correct one. All available points will be awarded for the correct option. Each answer option needs to be unique. Answer is automatically graded.
Multiple Choice - Multiple Selection is to provide set of answers and you can mark any amount as correct one. Available points will be allocated to each answer, so it's recommended to adjust Point Available to match the count of correct answers. Each answer option needs to be unique. Answer is automatically graded.
True-False is create a statement and then mark it as either True or False.
Attach file answer will allow to upload answer as a file. File can be any format. This option needs to manually graded.
After selecting the answer type, you can input the answer option if you chose multiple choice type question.
10. You can also add an image or attach an video from YouTube to the assessment.
11. Mark the correct answer option
Mark the correct answer option according to your question type with ticking "Correct" button.
12. Add explanation
Explanation will be displayed if you have enabled from the Properties tab the "Show correct answers" option. This text will not be displayed to learner if the option is not enabled.
13. Click on SAVE to save your question.
14. Click on ADD NEW QUESTION
If you need to add more questions repeat the process.
15. Open tab "Properties"
Here you can adjust additional settings related to the assessment.

On this tab you can adjust settings related to the assessment.
You can control the amount of attempts per user, add a time limit or toggle question shuffle. Allow copying this assessment would allow to copy the assessment as a user. By default it's disabled.
You can choose to display correct answers after each question or after the entire test. In this case, users can see the correct answer and if you have added an explanation it will also be displayed.
Scoring will allow you to define the required score to pass and you can choose if you want to display the results for the learner after they have taken the assessment.
NOTE: These settings can't be modified when there are attempts made to the quiz!
17. Click on PUBLISH
Or you can click save as draft, if you are not ready yet to publish it to learners and you want to view how it would look like.
