This article explains how to comment on learning material and video content using CLANED. It covers highlighting text, differentiating between comments and questions, viewing comments, liking comments and replying to comments or questions.
0. Open a document
1. Highlight the part you want to comment on
Your cursor will act as a highlighter so simply highlight the text you wish to comment on. You can also leave highlighted passages, private study notes or copy the selected text.
2. Click on Comment
3. Write you comment into the commenting dialog
4. Is it a comment or question?
Claned lets you distinguish between comments and questions. If you have asked a question you can indicate this by clicking the "This is a question" box beneath the comment field. You may also choose to post questions and comments anonymously by clicking the "Post anonymously".
5. Click on POST
Once you're happy with your comment or questions and the posting settings, click "POST"
6. View Comments
To view comments go to the 3 dots and "All comments" from the dropdown menu.
7. Reply and Like
When viewing comments you can interact by "liking" a comment or question by clicking the "Good question" button beneath the comment. Click the reply button to add a response to the question or comment.
8. Reply
Enter your response and click "POST". You may also choose to reply anonymously by clicking the "post anonymously"
9. Comment on Video
You can add questions and comments to video content in much the same way. To begin, pause the video to bring up the commenting menu
10. Click on Comment
You may also choose to make private notes for yourself
11. Write your comment or question
The same options of indicating questions, and posting anonymously apply here too.
