This article is for people who are either making courses or overseeing organizations in Claned and will explain how to create copies of your course or boards in Claned.
Why use copies of boards?
Sometimes you may want to create a copy of a board, either to share it with another group while keeping activity separate, develop a new iteration, or run a course again with a different group. There is no limit to how many times a board can be copied but we do recommend you come up with some kind of organization method to keep order and distinguish copies from one another.
Using a copy of a board is a great way to quickly build up a course that is similar to others you have created or an updated version. Simply add or replace contents in the board as needed! It’s also a great way to test a few various designs of a course to find out which works best for your topic and learners.
How to copy boards?
1. Go to "My boards" and click on the three dots in the upper left hand side and click "Copy".
- Notice that you can only make copies of boards you are an admin of.
2. Make your adjustments.
By default all copies of a board will be title "Copy of" (+board name). For example, adding a class, group, or time period to the name will help to keep you organized. You can also adjust the description in the description window and change the cover photos.
You can choose to include the comment and questions made by learners in the original if you wish. Adjust the sharing settings as you normally would when creating a board and save
The board will appear in the groups invited boards (if shared with a group) and in your boards (you may need to refresh the browser window).
